Minneapolis wants to help drivers save the earth and save money at the same time!
A new Minneapolis ordinance limits vehicle idling to three minutes except in traffic. Even if you aren’t in Minneapolis, this sounds like a good idea. Some benefits:
- Cuts down on noxious particulate matte, nitrous oxides, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide that running autos spew into the air, all chemicals linked to cancer, heart and lung disease and asthma and are a major source of global warming.
- Save money – idling autos use about a half gallon of gas per hour and restarting uses less fuel than 10 seconds of idling

WOW!! This must mean that Minneapolis has cleaned up their city so much, including their violent crime, like, oh say random murder of productive people by the scum of the earth they have historically refused to do anything about and now have the time to sit around dream up laws like this AND have enough tax money to keep an adequate police force to enforce this! That’s excellent!
